Advancing Equity in Historic Preservation: OUR COMMITMENT
EDUCATION
We are building a community of homeowners, craftspeople, DIYers, Realtors, and anyone who cares about (or cares for) old buildings. Hands-on workshops and classes connect you to the tools, skills, and experiences you need to take good care of the places you love.
Rethos encourages, but does not require, face masks during general
in-person classes. This is subject to change based on the comfort and needs of our class hosts, who generously donate their space to us.

The Rethos Education Program is committed to providing affordable options for EVERYONE to learn preservation and old home stewardship skills. We offer a select number of scholarships for every class and are dedicated to supporting you in your old home journey.
Instructor Openings
Rethos is looking for instructors to join our team. Instructors are contractors, tradespeople, architects, home inspectors, DIYers, handypeople, historians, and maybe you! We currently have particular need for experts to teach basic home maintenance classes on topics like plumbing, electrical systems, weatherization, and heating/cooling. We're also looking for masonry and stucco experts to join our team.
Please tell us about yourself at the email link below. A Rethos Education staff person will respond to you within a week of submission.
