Policy & Advocacy
Civic Steward Award 
Recognizes an individual or organization whose advocacy has meaningfully advanced policies, practices, or public understanding that support the stewardship of place.

 

Preservation Projects

Project Eligibility Period: Nominated projects must have been substantially completed, opened, or placed in active use between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2026.

 

Resilient Revival 
Honors a real estate project with a budget of less than $3 million that demonstrates long-term resilience through thoughtful reinvestment, adaptive reuse, and a commitment to community impact.

 

Excellence in Preservation & Reuse 
Recognizes an exemplary rehabilitation or adaptive reuse project that preserves historic character while meeting contemporary needs. 

 

Public Connection & Access
Community Access Award 
Celebrates an individual, group or organization whose contributions expanded public access, inclusion, and welcoming experiences across any of Rethos' public programming.

 

Outstanding City Stories Experience 
Honors a venue or event partner that delivered an exceptional City Stories experience through engaging interpretation, thoughtful storytelling, and meaningful public connection. 

 

Preservation-Minded Real Estate
Realtor of the Year 
Recognizes a real estate professional who demonstrates leadership in preservation-minded practice, promotes informed stewardship of the built environment, and reflects the values of Rethos’ Old Home Certified in their work with older and historic homes.

Minnesota Main Street Leadership 
Excellence on Main 
Honors a Main Street program that exemplifies the Main Street Approach through comprehensive, community-centered revitalization.

Stewardship & Governance 
Recognizes outstanding leadership and service that strengthen organizational governance, accountability, and long-term mission impact. Main Street Directors, Main Street Boards, or Board Members are eligible. 

 

Board of Directors
President’s Award 
An honor bestowed for exceptional service or leadership that has left a lasting mark on place, people, and preservation. Individuals, organizations, or groups are eligible.​
