About the Event
Duluth community members are invited to a free, hands-on workshop on repairing and restoring old windows on Saturday, June 22nd from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Northern Bedrock, located at 1205 93rd Avenue West, Duluth 55808.
Historic preservation experts from Northern Bedrock Preservation Corps will explain common wood window issues and demonstrate basic repairs. This class will focus specifically on glazing, paint prep, and painting. Practice sashes will be available to use. This workshop is designed for homeowners and property owners who plan to restore and repair their old windows and who care about building sustainability and preservation.
This workshop is brought to you by the Education program at Rethos, a Minnesota-based Historic Preservation non-profit, and through funding from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency’s GreenStep Cities program. The Rethos Education program is also funded in part by the Arts & Cultural Legacy Fund through the Minnesota Historical Society.
