Rethos is seeking proposals for a national marketing plan for our Historic Rehabilitation (HR) Loan Program. This program offers tax-advantaged loans to building rehabilitation projects that use state historic tax credits as a component of the project financing. Our loans offer a path to monetize a project’s state historic tax credits while supporting the mission of Rethos. Our loan includes a fee specifically for public benefit that reinvests money into each project’s community through art and educational services. To date, Rethos has signed 46 projects and facilitated $143 million toward building rehabilitation. Rethos currently has projects in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, and Texas, but is looking to expand our work to additional states with an active state historic tax credit.
