The Minnesota Main Streets program is preparing for its twelfth Deep Dive event, featuring Travis Brown from the Relish Jar, who will present "Data is not a Four-Letter Word” for our program directors. Deep Dive presentations are a unique benefit offered through the Minnesota Main Streets program, designed to provide directors and stakeholders with valuable information and resources. These sessions serve as mini-Main Street conferences, distributed throughout the year to support ongoing learning and development.
The September Deep Dive is especially timely. All Accredited and Affiliate programs will soon be granted access to the Maestro Community Manager platform through the Minnesota Main Streets Project Assistance Fund. This platform will help track business investments, contacts, volunteers, properties, and more. As data becomes increasingly vital for funding requests and reporting, having a robust tool to manage and organize this information is essential, and Maestro has a proven track record already being used in our Lincoln Park and Red Wing programs, with Owatonna hopping on board as an early adopter as well.
Since its inception, the Deep Dive programming has addressed all the Four Points™, featuring speakers on a variety of subjects of interest and concern for our Main Street directors. These have included business succession, the DEED ERAF program, volunteer recruitment and management, parking, board retention, and other relevant topics.
The new news about Deep Dives is that we will now be opening several up to the public for a nominal fee. The remaining 2025 Deep Dives will include sessions on accommodating disabilities, Minitex library resources, and commercial property design with the 2026 schedule coming soon.
