Our Main Street communities have so much holiday, there’s hardly room for it all. Take it in and definitely check this list twice:
Northfield will hold its 26th Annual Winter Walk on Thursday, December 12. It's quite a party – usually the second-biggest downtown event after the Defeat of Jesse James Days, which is very much its own thing, so watch for that in 2025.
Our friends in Winona have a boatload of holiday events this year. Check visitwinona.com for a full calendar of holly jolly fun.
The Litchfield Downtown Council is having their fourth annual Candy Cane Parade on Thursday, December 12 at 5:30. They will have 40 units including fire and rescue, Litchfield Royalty, a Bob Cat Brigade, Meeker County Dairy Princesses, National Lampoon Christmas Vacation, and if the weather is good, you may see some two-wheeled entries as well. The community loves it, and you will too.
The Let it Glow, Kato! annual window display contest is happening right now. For information on voting and a full Holiday Guide, steer your reindeer over to greatermankato.com.
Mark your calendar for December 14, when the Lincoln Park Craft District hosts its annual Lincoln Park Winter Market! This event brings together local artisans, makers, and food vendors for a day filled with holiday cheer and community spirit. Multiple pop-up markets offer a cozy atmosphere where you can find one-of-a-kind gifts, seasonal treats, and handmade goods. Markets located at Bent Paddle, Duluth Folk School, and Enger Lofts will host small vendors while other businesses showcase their holiday goodies and deals.
Santa, cocoa, music and more (with fire pits to keep you toasty) will kick off the holiday at the Wabasha Tree Lighting in Heritage Park December 7 from 4-7 pm.
For many, home IS for the holidays and Owatonna’s slate of Hometown Holidays events is ready with Santa Sightings, a Lighted Holiday Parade on December 6th, concerts and bake sales galore-ia. Find it all right here at visitowatonna.org.
Shakopee Holiday Fest is an open streets celebration to kick-off the holiday season! This family-friendly event will feature a vendor market, pictures with Santa, a walk-through parade, tree lighting, and fireworks. Get your schedule here: shakopee.org.
