We've revamped OHC! We're still offering the two-day course, but it will now be structured as follows:Â
Day One (6 CE Credits): our core curriculum, taught by Rethos staff. These four classes provide the foundational knowledge for realtors interested in old homes.Â
"Revivals, Archways, and Turrets: Pre-War Architecture in Minnesota"Â
"Glass Boxes, Concrete, and Ramblers: Post-War Architecture in Minnesota"Â
"Historic Designations"Â
"Balancing the Old with the New: The Historic Value of Sustainability"Â
Day Two (5 CE Credits): a rotating selection of electives, taught by outside experts. Topics vary, ranging from the technical to the historical. 2026 class offerings will be released in December 2025.

Maintaining CertificationÂ
This revamp also means that you now only have to take the full 2-day OHC course every 3 years (although you're always more than welcome to register for both days!) To maintain your designation, you now have the following two options.Â
Option One: Attend Day 2 of Old Home Certified (OHC). This option saves you money, but requires a full day commitment.
Cost: $150. CE Credits: 6
Option Two: Take 5 credits worth of rotating electives, offered throughout the year as synchronous, online classes.
Cost per Credit: $50. CE Credits: 5 (between 3-5 classes)
