The Federal Office of Management and Budget has finally opened the gates on the Historic Preservation Funds that had been withheld, despite being appropriated by Congress many months ago.

The Federal programs that administer, support, and fund historic preservation and community development are threatened by cuts.

Budget cuts are particularly threatening to Main Street communities and underserved communities in urban and suburban areas, as they help fund important community efforts that support small towns, historic buildings, and local businesses.
